Blockchain in the Food Supply Chain
- Blockchain
Business Overview
- The client is in the food supply chain business and wanted to develop a decentralized application that can improvise the tracking of shipment and the way it is transported and sold from the warehouse to the end customer.
- The client’s requirement was to develop an immutable record of business transactions to negate any theft cases.
Challenges
- In the vast industry of the food supply chain, where a huge amount of data is generated, acquired, and distributed on a regular basis, storing, collecting, and circulating such sensitive data is one of the significant challenges we came across.
- To devise a high level of encryption that can end all digital identity theft.
- To develop a DApp that provides smart contract functionality that manages the supply chain.
What did we develop?
A blockchain-based decentralized application that reduces complexity, minimizes costs and errors and improves security.
A blockchain-based P2P system where transaction validation and decision-making are decentralized.
The data recorded on a blockchain is distributed among all the network nodes and is immutable.
Features of our developed Smart Contract
Transparent and effective dapp
Tracks cross-border transactions
Robust security system
A stable and secure data storage system
Details of goods can be tracked digitally
Tech Stack
Ethereum
Node js
Result
- A decentralized application that facilitates reduction in complexity, costs, and errors, and enhances reliability for the food supply chain.
